Cash Pays |

A CASH deduction takes all of a person's remaining pay (after tax and other deductions) and pays it in cash. You do not have to create CASH deductions yourself, they will be automatically added to a persons Standard Timesheet if they have a Payment Method of Cash (the other options are Bank or Cheque). Your Cash Schedule report will show the number of notes and coins of each denomination that you need to get from your bank to make cash pays for each person.
Cash Pay RoundingCash pays are automatically rounded so that you don't have to handle small coins. This is achieved by advancing a small amount to the person each pay. This Cash Rounding is displayed on a persons Personal Details page (after their Payment Method), and is accounted for in the General Ledger Postings Report. Note: It is your responsibility to make up your cash pays every pay period as iPayroll® doesn't provide a cash handling service. x
TipIf you have any Cash pays, you should set up a Cash Roundings Clearing Account on your GL Accounts Set Up. Otherwise your General Ledger postings will be confusing. | ||||||||||||
